Dictaro is a voice-to-text app for Windows. Press a global hotkey, speak naturally, and your words appear as clean text in any app, VS Code, MS Word, your browser, Slack, Notion. Powered by Whisper large-v3 hosted on our Slovakia GPU.
Six languages out of the box: Slovak, English, Czech, Polish, German, Hungarian. Full grammar correction (LanguageTool) for SK, EN, PL, DE. Diacritic restoration (Hunspell) for CS and HU.
Audio is streamed to our EU-hosted GPU server in Slovakia, transcribed, and returned. We do not store recordings after transcription. No data leaves the EU. GDPR-aligned by infrastructure choice, no US cloud round-trip.
No, Dictaro relies on a cloud Whisper engine that requires an internet connection. Local on-device transcription is not on the current roadmap, since high-accuracy Whisper models need significant VRAM. Most home internet handles dictation comfortably.
Significantly better accuracy (Whisper large-v3 vs. native Windows engine), strong support for Slovak, Czech, and Hungarian (where Windows is unreliable), built-in grammar correction, custom terminology, filler word removal, and inserts text directly at your cursor in any Windows app via push-to-talk hotkey.
The Free plan (100 transcriptions / month) is rolling out first, register for the trial to be notified. INDIVIDUAL (€9/mo, 2,000 transcriptions) and BUSINESS (€29/seat, 15,000 transcriptions, cloud sync) follow afterwards. Pricing is finalised but not yet billed, first payments target Q2 2026.
